Community Involvement

Nothing is more important to Coldwell Banker M.M. Parrish Realtors than our community. Our business IS our community. Although our Sales Associates come from many different backgrounds and many different walks of life, our Company is a family that is just a small part of this community we love! Although we're a small part, we have played a big role in helping make Gainesville and Alachua County one of the most desirable communities in the country!

Our Staff, Management and Sales Associates are proud to participate in hundreds of different volunteer programs, organizations, fundraisers and community events as individuals. As a Company, we are involved in many local charities and sponsor several local events every year.

Our Partnership with Habitat for Humanity.

In 2011, Coldwell Banker M.M. Parrish will continue our ongoing partnership with Habitat for Humaninty. With the help of other sponsor organizations, we are proud to help another deserving family find their way home.

The Parrish family has also donated a fully-platted 11 acres subdivision, Melton Manor, for the construction of future Habitat for Humanity homes.

In 2006, we participated in Coldwell Banker's national "100 Homes by Our 100th Anniversary" Campaign. Coldwell Banker and Habitat for Humanity set a goal to build one hundred homes by the end of 2006. M.M. Parrish is one of the 100 Companies countrywide that built a home as part of this program. Our house was built in Gainesville and went to a local family. This is one more way Coldwell Banker M.M. Parrish Realtors make the dream of homeownership a reality for area families.

Now, we've started saving for our next house! A portion of our commission from every closing goes toward this effort!

Our Partnership with The School Board of Alachua County

  • 100 Books on the 100th Day: On The 100th day of the 2010-2011 school year, which fell on February 3rd, 2011, Coldwell Banker M.M. Parrish presented each elementary school in Alachua County with 4 copies of Mary Ann Hoberman’s classic children’s book A House Is A House For Me. Our Agents hand delivered these books to the principal of each of our Alachua County schools in honor of their service to our elementary students and our community.

  • Elementary School Art & Essay Contest: Playing on the theme of “A House is a House For Me,” Coldwell Banker M.M. Parrish Realtors sponsored an Art and; Essay contest for elementary school students in Alachua County. We received 106 entries into the art contest and 66 entries into the essay contest and had 13 of the area schools participate! With three age groups, three winners in each age group were presented with a $100 savings bond at the February 15th, School Board of Alachua County Meeting.
