I grew up in Athens, Georgia and it appears that I was influenced by the many benefits of living in a college town. It was just natural that when I decided on early retirement from a very successful U.S. Army career as a Special Forces Officer (Green Beret) that I would look at Gainesville. Of course, my wife had planned this earlier as she had lived in Gainesville while I served a second tour in South Vietnam. Our son graduated from the University of Florida and our daughter from Florida State. My wife and I both graduated from the University of Georgia so we have had some active times during football seasons. I retired from the service in 1974 and moved to Gainesville.
I have been a Sales Associate and Broker Associate with M. M. Parrish since 1976 specializing in site selection, leasing and sales of land and commercial properties. I enjoy the challenges of a professional real estate career and have over the years become a valuable resource to the commercial real estate owner, investor and user.
Acknowledging that a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) is a recognized expert in the disciplines of commercial investment real estate, I have devoted significant effort to the attainment of the prestigious real estate designation, CCIM and this organization, having served as a past president of the Florida Chapter. I am also an Industrial specialist with the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors.
